General Information

The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data with which you can be personally identified. Detailed information on the subject of data protection can be found in our privacy policy listed below this text.

Data Collection on This Website

Who is responsible for data collection on this website?

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. The operator’s contact details can be found in the section “Note on the Responsible Party” in this privacy policy.

How do we collect your data?

Your data is collected, for example, when you provide it to us. This may be data you enter in our contact form (name, email, message).

Other data is collected automatically or after your consent when you visit the website by our IT systems. This is primarily technical data (e.g., internet browser, operating system, or time of page view). The collection of this data occurs automatically as soon as you enter this website.

What do we use your data for?

Part of the data is collected to ensure the error-free provision of the website. Other data can, with your consent, be used to analyze your user behavior. Data from the contact form or direct inquiries is used to process your request and for possible follow-up inquiries.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time for the future. Furthermore, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

For this and other questions regarding data protection, you can contact us at any time.

2. Hosting and Services Used

We host our website with Firebase. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter “Google”). For managing emails and inquiries, we also use Google Workspace from the same provider.

We strive to use server locations within the European Union wherever this is offered by Google (e.g., for Firebase Hosting). Nevertheless, when using the mentioned services, personal data may be processed on servers in the USA.

When you visit our website, Google collects various log files, including your IP address, as part of the hosting.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For more information, please refer to Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy and the specific Firebase privacy terms: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

The use of Firebase is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the most reliable and secure presentation of our website. The use of Google Workspace for handling inquiries is also based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient and professional communication). If consent has been requested (e.g., for cookies), processing is based exclusively on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time.

Data Processing Agreement

We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with Google for the use of the mentioned services. This is a contract required by data protection law, ensuring that Google processes the personal data of our website visitors and communication partners only according to our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

If you make a legitimate request for deletion or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g., tax or commercial law retention periods); in the latter case, deletion will take place after these reasons cease to apply.

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data.

4. Data Collection on This Website

4.1. Cookies

Our websites use so-called “cookies.” Cookies are small data packets that do not harm your device. They are either stored temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or your web browser automatically deletes them.

Cookies may be set by us (first-party cookies) or by third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies).

Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., saving your language selection). Other cookies are used to analyze user behavior or display advertising.

Cookies necessary for carrying out the electronic communication process, providing certain functions you desire, or optimizing the website (necessary cookies) are stored based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. Storage is also based on § 25(2) TTDSG, as storage is absolutely necessary to provide the service you expressly requested.

Other cookies for analysis or marketing purposes are set only based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG). Consent is revocable at any time. Details can be found in the relevant sections of this privacy policy.

You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

4.2. Contact Form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details (name, email address, message) will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and for follow-up questions. The technical processing and storage of this data are carried out via the infrastructure of Firebase (Google). We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us for the processing of your request and for the initiation of a possible future business relationship until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

4.3. Inquiry by Email or Telephone

If you contact us by email or telephone, your inquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, email address, telephone number, inquiry content), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. Processing takes place in our IT infrastructure, which is based on Google Workspace. The legal basis and the principles for storage duration correspond to those of the contact form.

5. Analytics Tools and Advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses the web analytics service Google Analytics, provided you have given your consent via our consent manager. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies” (text files) and similar technologies to enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by this is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The storage of Google Analytics cookies and the use of this analysis tool are carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent according to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

IP Anonymization In Google Analytics 4, IP anonymization is integrated by default. According to Google, IP addresses are generally not logged or stored. For users from the EU, the IP address is used exclusively for rough geographic location determination and is deleted immediately afterward. Storage of the full IP address does not take place.

Data Processing Agreement We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
